Juvenon Management Team

Nathan D. Hamilton is Juvenon’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and a founder of the business. Mr. Hamilton has been an executive or active investor with a number of consumer, biotechnology, medical diagnostic and medical device companies. Mr. Hamilton is also a member of EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organization) and the Sierra Angels. Mr. Hamilton received his B.A. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and his Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University Graduate School of Business.

Bruce N. Ames, Ph.D. is a founder of Juvenon and chairs its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Ames is a former Chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is now a Senior Scientist, Children’s Hospital of Oakland Research Institute. He is a recipient of the U.S. National Medal of Science, among numerous other honors. He previously served as a member of the board of directors of Operon, a genomics company sold to QIAGEN in 2000. Michelle D. Nowicki is Juvenon’s Director of Marketing.   Ms. Nowicki started out with Metamucil and was in brand management positions at Procter & Gamble for both domestic and international markets with the Nyquil and Vicks consumer heathcare product lines.  She has also worked with Hewlett-Packard, Providian National Bank, Incyte Genomics, and Excite@Home, and held product management positions for Avantos Performance Systems, where she managed two product lines.  Ms. Nowicki received her B.S. in Food and Nutrition from the University of Maine, Orono and her Masters of Business Administration from the Yale  School of Management.

Michael P. McManus is Juvenon’s Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. McManus has been a Chief Financial Officer for several publicly traded companies as well as founded and served as Executive Vice President of MFC from 1995 to 2008. MFC was a leading provider of financial, management and investor relations consulting and support services to publicly traded companies. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. McManus also served as Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he was responsible for restructuring Spectrum’s accounting and administration functions. Prior to joining MFC, from 1991 to 1995, he worked at Price Waterhouse LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) as an audit manager for healthcare and financial services companies. Mr. McManus is a retired Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
